Project overview
The works focused on replacing a large section of corroded copper pipework serving essential systems, including non-potable boosted cold water, hot water flow and hot water return. Given the importance of these services, careful planning and execution were required to maintain continuity across the campus.
Our approach
To enable a safe and efficient installation, our team carried out a planned out-of-hours shutdown. During this period, new isolation valves were installed, giving greater control over the system and enabling the main pipework replacement to be completed during the working week without impacting wider operations — controlled and safe system isolation, reduced risk during pipework replacement, and minimal disruption to building users.
Outcome
All works were completed safely, on schedule and in line with project requirements. The upgraded systems were fully reinstated, tested, and now support the ongoing needs of the campus with a more reliable and maintainable plumbing system.
